“We're landing! Senator Palpatine is waiting at the hangar,” one of the security guards cried out.
Obi-Wan and Anakin shared a glance at that name, and Anakin jumped to the floor. He flexed his arms and legs, seemingly fascinated with his own fingers.
“You’re in?” Anakin asked.
And, well, Obi-Wan had killed one Sith already; what was one more? Surely nothing bad could come from killing Palpatine.
“Sure,” he found himself agreeing.
Or: Fresh after killing Darth Sidious on the Death Star, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi find themselves back in time to their first meeting in The Phantom Menace.

Summary
There's a simple reason for that, obviously. He must have gone out for some quick takeaway—Heaven knew the Angel could get peckish. Or it could be books.
Or it could be Heaven. It could be the angels finally figuring out their ruse, somehow seeing through Crowley’s facade.
Once the latter idea pops in, firmly leeches onto his mind, Crowley finds himself struggling to discredit the idea. Not when it immediately resonates with his slowly building panic.
Or: The world didn’t end. They won. They’re free. But then Crowley wakes up alone in the backroom, Aziraphale nowhere to be found and it feels like the shop is burning all over again.

In four days, they would be picked up by Erid’s imaging system. In five, radar communication. In seven, Rocky would be home, Erid would be saved, and Ryland might finally get something other than Tauamoeba slurp.
He should have been counting down too.
Or: Grace and Rocky save stars, and above all, Rocky gets to go home. To Erid. To Adrian. Then why does Ryland feel so empty?

Jim moves forward and almost instantly, there's a blade pointed at his chest.
Both his hands go up in what he hopes is the tell-tale gesture of universal surrender. A drop of sweat trickles down his forehead and Jim resists the urge to wipe it away.
The figure is strikingly familiar, but he doesn’t show any signs of recognition.
It's Spock. Or rather- a Spock.
Or : After a transporter malfunction, Jim finds himself thrown across dimensions. As Jim tries to make his way back to the Enterprise, he takes this opportunity to learn more about his First Officer.
Vulcans, after all, aren’t exactly known for being forthcoming.

Oh God, Peter just tried to explain a science pun to Tony Stark’s daughter.
Morgan rolls her eyes, finally letting go of his hand in favour of being picked up by her father. “No, daddy, I found him,” she says and gives Mr. Stark a meaningful look. Peter just isn’t sure what said meaning is supposed to be.Or: 5 reasons not to adopt Peter Parker + 5 times his attempts to fix them were never necessary in the first place

For Aziraphale, there were always two Crowleys: the First Crowley, the one he met in the Garden, the one he's spent 6000 years meeting across human history. And there is the Second Crowley, the one who comes to him across time, again and again, propelled, it would seem, by some unknown tragedy. Both, his hereditary enemy. His dearest friend.
For Crowley, there is a Before, and there is an After. Before, he spent 6000 years as Hell's agent on Earth, seeing Aziraphale occasionally, working together where they could get away with it. After... After, he's drawn back over and over, like he's attached by a tether that just won't let him go.
Not that he wants it to let him go. The alternative...
