Summary
2004: Following a tip-off to the Aurors, the Minister of Magic assigns Ministerial Aide, Hermione Granger, to search for an infamous, banned book of dark magic, missing for centuries. The book is alleged to be at Malfoy Manor, where Lucius Malfoy has lived without his family since his release from Azkaban the previous year.
Lucius is struggling to disentangle his past and present self. Hermione is a rising star at work, but is still assailed by memories of her wartime experiences. Can what begins with the search for a lost book become a deeper search for mutual healing and understanding?
