Summary
When Grace gets seemingly teleported by means unknown into the SM-13 right as it was nearing The Light, both Simon and Grace have no idea what is happening. Grace knows he was supposed to be in his house on Erid, Simon knows this new guy cannot possibly be a hallucination, and Ava, upon hearing Grace ramble about theories for how he got there, knows that new guy is Smart. Could-Secure-Our-Survival Smart.

Summary
In the final battle, a lot of beings awoke within the Empty. In a rage, the Empty threw them out into whatever remaining universes it could find, but none back into the universe they were supposed to be. Jack can't bring Cas back himself, not without causing more problems, but he can figure out which universe Cas is stuck in and send Dean in after him. Thoroughly unprepared for such an adventure, Dean finds himself inhabiting his younger self just after Lucifer's rise. Cas is in this universe, but he's stuck inside this universe's Castiel, and neither of them know how to separate from each other. Dean is left with only glimpses of his Cas, and a chance to make sure another universe's Sam and Dean don't have a lot of the same trauma he and his brother dealt with. If he wins, the alternate universe Sam will never have to spend a day in the cage, and Dean will get to go home with the love of his life. And maybe even tell Cas that last part.
