Summary
May 29, 2026. At 11:41 a.m., the internet completely loses its mind. Fabrizio Romano drops a bomb: Real Madrid just triggered Pau Cubarsí’s massive $350 million release clause. Because of Barça's financial mess, the board is forced to take the money to save themselves from bankruptcy, effectively packing Pau's bags for him.
While social media is in total meltdown and José Mourinho is gloating to the press about "buying the house," Pau is sitting in a dead-silent private jet. He's only 18, he never asked for any of this, and his phone won't stop buzzing with heartbreaking texts from his La Masia teammates. Staring out the window into the dark, he has to face the reality that he's being forced to fly straight into enemy territory.
