Summary
Gwen is overjoyed to have Arthur back, of course. There's no doubt about that.
It's just that she was used to being a widow - and a queen. Maybe too used.
But Arthur and Gwen are both determined to make it through the transition and figure out what their new reality will look like. They vowed it, after all.

His head perks up and he distances himself slightly, as if to make his way to the door. “Oh, well, if it’s too tight, I’ll call back the seamstress and-”
Shaking her head, she finds herself blinking away the mist in her eyes, as she half-smiles and croaks out, “That- that’s not what I meant.”

When his nephew Mordred had described the librarian who reads him stories at the library, Arthur had pictured the mysterious Emrys looking like an old fantasy wizard, not...not like an eccentric and attractive man who refuses to share his name and enchants both children and Arthur alike.

Summary
Hunith's child has magic. He has yet to be born, but it's the only explanation for why she can suddenly move things with her mind. She is taken in by the druids, and learns the name of her son from a goddess.
Twenty years later, Merlin follows in his mother's footsteps. He seeks the Triple Goddess to learn of his destiny, but all he sees is an image of a blond man and a set of runes that are important enough to be inked into his skin.
Arthur goes on a pilgrimage to Tintagel. On his way, his horse spooks and he is knocked from her back. Luckily for him, a traveler by the name of Merlin is there to help him. The two of them are drawn together, and might have just met their destiny.
