Summary
"You need to leave, Kurosaki-san. The chances of this being a trap are… significant. You need to get out, while you still can."
He leaves the other part unspoken, the bit where Ichigo is going to have to leave him behind, let him spend a while buying time that could not be had, with Ichigo burdened with Kisuke's broken, useless body.
Ichigo smirks at him without humor.
"Funny. That's what I was going to say to you. Get out of the city."
His face darkens, and there's something in his eyes that Kisuke has never seen before, not from this protective, kind soul.
"I'm going to burn it to the ground, the whole damn thing."

He had no idea what to say.
How… how… how? How do you explain ‘I’ve either gone mad or I’m reliving the same week and I don’t feel mad and everything happens the same but I remember it all and I can’t can’t can’t keep doing this please help please please please because even if I’m not mad already I can tell the road there is definitely shorter today than yesterday?’
The world started to go kind of fuzzy at the edges and too sharp in the center and he laughed.

“You’re the best cook amongst my friends and I have a reason to learn.” She beamed at him.
“Some sort of E. coli outbreak in all the restaurants in Seireitei?”
“What?”
“Never mind.” He eyed her and decided he wasn’t going to follow his cue until he’d had coffee. He almost started with ‘fine’ but caught himself; she’d hold it against him as him ‘agreeing’. “Why do you want to learn all of a sudden?”
“Renji and I are going to get married.”
“And that means you have to learn to cook?” he checked.
She scowled at him.
“Oh, right. Congratulations,” he said, very dryly. “Like everyone didn’t see that one coming years ago.” It still broke his brain a bit. Their house would never have a moment of peace unless all within had been rendered unconscious.

Summary
His focus sharpened, hearing first, followed by sight, but neither helped. He wandered towards the pull, surprised that the lonely-lost-cold child wasn’t sitting on the nearby bench or hiding in one of the obvious places.
No.
That feeling was coming from the open between Ichigo and the river, and it didn’t make sense.
When he suddenly went past the feeling he looked down and spotted a bit of light. A slight blue.
It turned out to be some sort of polyhedron sphere and relief-glad-interest brushed his senses when he picked it up so he pocketed it, getting warm-safe-content for the action. With a mental shrug he headed home in a slightly round-about fashion, passing an Edo period cosplayer as he did. When the man was nearly tackled by a cat-girl who looked like she was from one of the special clubs he picked up his pace.

Summary
Yuzu finished coiling the last bit of dough. She looked at it carefully, nodded, and pushed some chocolate candy bits into the coil at sporadic places. The small tray went into the oven and she turned her attention to the finished batch after throwing away the bags the dough had been divided into. Sparkle gel, edible glitter and sprinkles finished those in time for the rest to come out and get the same treatment.
Half a dozen slid carefully onto a plate once dry.
She took a deep breath and nodded to herself in confirmation.
She was going to get answers. Ichigo wasn’t okay, whatever anyone tried to tell her.
A plate of cookies might not be much compared to what he was going through, but the time and effort required should at least get him talking. That was the trick, with Ichigo. He wouldn’t lie, but it took work to pry things out of him sometimes.
