Summary
Hermione might have forgotten to mention that she would be alone for the holidays due to a few less than jolly circumstances. Something that Fleur rectified as soon as she found out - by immediately 'suggesting' that Hermione come home with her for Christmas. Which was all well and fine and lovely! Who wouldn't want to spend Christmas in France with their beautiful, wonderful girlfriend?
Except Hermione hadn't really met Fleur's parents yet (or all of the rest of her relatives) and would be staying at the Delacour chateau, surrounded by all of them. A whole flock of Fleurs.
Fleur promised a magical holiday and that her family was beyond thrilled to be meeting her. There was just also something about Grandmere that Fleur wouldn't expand on, and that wasn't suspicious at all. She only swore that it was nothing and Hermione would be fine...

Asami shrugged, quick and casual. “Sure, or just, I don’t know. Meeting each other doing something mundane like this, instead of through Mako, or pro-bending, or however else it could have gone down.” She sighed, eyebrows furrowed as she considered the alternatives. “What if we had met as just Asami, and Korra, instead of the Avatar and the daughter of Hiroshi Sato?”

Bookmarker's Notes
Hands down, one of the best Korrasami fic on this platform. It is very well written, the story has such a good flow. I think it's worth mentioning that people express themselves differently, there is one who is good with words (Asami) and others who are communicating with expressions (Korra). Oftentimes expressions are overlooked and and they are drowning in a sea of words. Asami finds out that she should have looked better at her best friends expressions.
