Summary
Wuyang Ye has no problem helping the new Overwatch agent, Mizuki Kawano, cover all his bases when it comes to warding off bad luck. That is, until the day Mizuki’s long-standing streak of misfortune manifests in the form of an illness neither of them could have ever predicted. Wuyang takes it upon himself to try and find some answers as well as a spark of good luck. As time slips by, however, he's not sure if he can work faster than the spirits haunting Mizuki - or Talon, whose next strike is expected any day now.

Summary
They stay for a while. Just the two of them, hidden so deep in the forest that it feels like they've entered another world entirely. Mizuki rinses off under the waterfall, cleansing himself of any negative energy he previously felt. And even if it's only temporary relief, he feels much lighter when they wade back to the shoreline together.

Encourage him to pursue his dreams, even if it disappointed their parents? Obviously. Pretend that his existence is the bane of hers and that she'd rather have anyone else as a brother? Naturally.

“maybe not, but they can handle it. soldier’s got a biotic field after all, right?”
he appears in the doorway of the open ilios villa mizuki is huddled in not long after, a little damp but still smiling, like he was trying his hardest to get there as fast as he could while looking completely nonchalant about it. mizuki pretends he isn’t vaguely amused, or a bit flattered.
(he’s both, but that’s neither here nor there).
or: a joke that starts between himself and kiriko quickly devolves into something out of mizuki's control. though, he doesn't really mind if it means he gets the attention of a boy who puzzles him beyond reason.
