Princess Celestia has a problem. Her subjects have had a good thousand years to get used to the rule of the (one, singular, unique) Immortal Alicorn Princess Who Moves The Heavens. And now there are two of them.
How does She help Her little ponies, who are prone to panic at a misplaced bunny rabbit, deal with this change? Especially considering that She never warned them that this might happen? That sounds like an assignment for Her Faithful Student, Twilight Sparkle, who is intelligent and resourceful, and above all, loves school.

I'm really bad at writing summaries but I can say that this is a series rewrite starting with Harry actually getting his first Hogwarts letter and then running away from the Dursleys. Oh, and what if the adults actually did their jobs?
This will include multiple animagus forms, duelling, politics, and mini-harems, and an independent Harry!

This is incredibly detail–rich and beautiful. Every so often as you read along, you will encounter sentences like jewels, such as this one :
He had chosen them because he knew what it was like to carry everything you owned in something that could fail.
There are however some editing problems, most notably duplicated paragraphs and missing end–emphasis tags. And there are a couple of places where I can’t tell whether I am looking at intentional parallelisms and repetition, or two different drafts of the same scene.

In one universe, Lord Voldemort, the greatest Legilimens in the world, didn't notice that Narcissa Black had lied to him. In another he did.
Getting sent back in time with the mother of the biggest bullying git at Hogwarts was definitely going to make Harry's life interesting. Finding out what some of his so called friends and allies were doing to him and others made him mad.
Perhaps it was time for a new faction in the battle between light and dark. Perhaps it was time for the Grey to rise

Time–travel fix–its are usually annoying. This one uses a lot of the common tropes, but the whole is more than the sum of its parts. If any of them is worth giving a chance, this one is.

Once upon a time, a lonely girl met an abused boy. She gave him a birthday card, he gave her Pixie Stix, and they gave each other confidence. Then they met a stray dog and learned of another world, the sort of world that swallowed brilliant girls and orphan boys whole and left only the bones.
And they decided to Kick. Its. Ass.
They also kind of got engaged, but they'll sort that out later.
(Now a full canon rewrite with 90% less angst and at least 200% more chaos. Highlights include accidental kidnappings, intentional kidnappings, glitterpigs, eldritch horrors, tooth-rotting fluff, bad-ass children, a handful of competent adults, unexpected medieval weaponry, misuse of household cleaning charms & equipment, and unsupervised Lovegoods.)
