Summary
After the Battle of the Five Armies, Bilbo stays in Erebor and slowly finds a place for himself to fit in. As more dwarrow move back to the mountain and daily life resumes, Thorin has pushback from the older council members to find a Consort or his One before his coronation. He accepts every person who proposes courtship. Each suitor must complete a series of tasks to prove they are worthy and should be Thorin’s Consort. After frustration takes hold, Bilbo offers his help to the king, and they both discover something about themselves through the adventure.

After a few days with no change, he searches for a fight to try to feel anything aside from despair. Only he forgot that he has a field trip to SI the next day.

Lucius Spriggs, rising star celebrity gossip columnist, hates his latest assignment: a charity baking competition in Little-Flagton-Upon-Sea, a tiny port-town that gears the fuck up for Christmas. It’s a fucking punishment is what it is. He checks into the Happy Hatchet Holiday Inn (co-owners Stede Bonnet and Edward Teach), fully expecting to despise the entire sickeningly sweet, tooth-rottingly festive experience until the damn article’s written and he can get back to civilisation.
