Summary
Compared to how the others chat amongst themselves with stuffy, mindless pleasantries, the art of conversation branded right onto the tongues of each of these children of counts, Phainon hails from Aedes Elysiae, a baron in the south of Chrysos where the size of the harvesting fields manages to rival that of his family’s entire estate.
He feels horribly out of place.
(or, Phainon is brought to the capital to contest the throne. He finds that he is the only contestant who does not come from an earldom, and thus his first day goes just as well as he thinks it would. On the plus side, at least he manages to make a few friends.)

“But do you know where Dawnmaker is now?” Phainon’s resolve is watered down until it’s nothing but a faint aftertaste. “It’s leaning against my wall, untouched and unneeded. And when I try to think of my future, it just turns to sand and fog. I have no idea what I’m meant to see. Because aren’t I the Deliverer, Lady Hysilens?”
She nods. “You are indeed a Chrysos Heir.”
He despises that he feels so out of his own league. “Then why do I bleed red?”

Summary
The Flame Reaver disappears into the slash in spacetime they’ve created, and Phainon shouts a final challenge as the wound heals itself into nothing. After he turns around, huffing from the effort of the fight he’s just failed to finish, he asks Aglaea why she’s got that troubled look on her face.
She doesn’t say anything, but her fingers flick imperceptibly as if trying to twinge a gold thread.
The smell of voice her threads reverberate on, the man standing in front of her right now, is Phainon. A thick blood like that is unmistakable.
But that Flame Reaver’s voice… smells the exact same.
(or, Aglaea rediscovers her humanity, and becomes the Flame Reaver’s ally along the way.)

Summary
Mydei and Cipher took their leave, announcing with no shortage of pleasure that they’d be going to explore the rest of the Page in order to see what it held in store for them. Anaxa too departed, teasing something about hoping to avoid Aglaea before they inevitably crossed paths, until it was just Castorice and Phainon left at the Dome of the Stars.
“I think I’ll go see my sister as well,” Castorice whispered, terribly fond. She took a slow step forward, waiting to see if it was alright to go and leave him alone, to which Phainon chuckled and urged her on. It didn’t matter whether he spent a few more minutes or an entire day alone.
Cyrene wouldn’t come either way.
(or, as the Trailblazer introduces a romantic story to the cosmos, Phainon comes to terms with its ending, and eventually begins his own campaign.)

Hulkenberg knew Junah just wanted to get a reaction out of her, yet she could have never expected the repercussions this seemingly inconsequential question would have. With unknown feelings shaken loose, the Royal Knight was forced to confront a part of herself she never knew existed.
OR: Junah teasingly asking Hulkenberg if she was interested in Strohl ends with the knight having to ask her friends for help with her emotional spiral.

“I dunno…” Stelle yawns, clearly unaffected by his or anyone else’s opinion. “The snow was soft, and I got sleepy.”
He hears a click at his side and turns to glare.
“What? It was a perfect opportunity for a picture!” March says, camera out unashamedly, though she slowly hides her face behind it the longer he stares. “C’mon, it’s a memory, let me have this…"
And so— perhaps predictably, he can't say he didn't see this coming at this point— it becomes less of a Belobog scenery trip and more of a ‘where is Stelle sleeping today’ trip.
Stelle sleeps so very weirdly, March 7th wants a photo collection cataloging this fact, and Dan Heng reluctantly updates the archives.

The fight is finished. They have completed their mission. Phainon should be lowering his sword now, he thinks.
