“A soulmate is what me and yer Da are. They’re two people- well, generally two people, but dinnae you worry about that - they’re people who were meant to be together. They were born needing each other, destined to meet and to make each other better people. They’re meant to love each other for as long as they have the other in their life, in whichever way that means for them."
She leaned forward, managing to stare him down from behind her glasses. He resisted the urge to squirm. “These flowers, they tie you to your soulmate. They represent the bond between the two- ah, three of ya. When one of your soulmates is hurt, that’s when and where the flowers show, growing in the same place as where the hurt is on them. A sympathy that is stronger than distance. Proof that someone out there will love you enough to share their hurts and their woes with ye.”

Medic knew how significant he was to the team. It wasn’t like he hyperfixated on the fact–he didn’t have Scout’s ego–but he knew his worth. Any Medic worth their bone saw should know they are just as important, if not more important than any Sniper or Spy. Though, if Sniper and Spy ever found out he thought this way, he’d soon find himself on the business end of their respective weapons.

But when that boy turns out to be much cooler than he initially thought, Jeremy will be forced to confront not only the problems that arise from the two of them being seen together in public, but the fluttering feeling in his chest that starts every time Tavish looks his way.
