“You know Jayce better than I do, my sweet angel.” Her mother leaned down to plant a kiss on her daughter’s forehead. “Do you think he won’t understand?”

Summary
“Good evening” Jayce murmured under his breath, too quick for Viktor to catch.
“Hello, Jayce” he put on a polite smile. Trying his best to not look like a nervous mess, he clasped his hands together, afraid his hands would shake like being in a job interview.
“Thank you for packing those” Jayce lifted all the 3 bags in one hand. Was ready to turn around on his heels and dip– it felt uncomfortable for him. Oh he must be dating someone then.“Jayce, I'd like to talk if you don’t mind,” he said quickly before Jayce left. Jayce stood in shock, Viktor never wanted to talk, not after divorce. He thought they would never talk, Viktor thought that too.
“About?” He looked confused and scared. Viktor wanted to comfort him that he doesn’t want their marriage back. That he can date as much as his heart content. The anger is reeling its head back, ugly and twisted in his stomach.

Summary
“Dr. Talis,” Viktor sighs, “I have to admit I’m an admirer of your work. Not many doctors are willing to ask such existential questions in their research.”
Jayce’s jaw falls open just slightly at the realization that Viktor is clearly very familiar with his past. A past that Jayce has gone through great lengths to conceal from his current employers at Piltover Med.
Or simply, Jayce is a research fellow with a big secret, and Viktor is a first-year resident determined to find out what his colleague is hiding.

Summary
Viktor’s impending arranged marriage to Salo was something he wasn’t ready to face. Once he was wedded to Salo, he doubted the councillor would grant him time to work on his riskier experiments. The only focus for a councillor’s wife would be child rearing. The thought of bringing up Salo’s pups made his skin crawl.
“Is that where your promised mate is?” Jayce asked, his voice dropped an octave.
"Yes."

Viktor recruits Jayce, an old childhood friend to assist him on a voyage to inject himself with an experiemental drug to halt his body's degeneration. Viktor believes Jayce has forgotten who he is and is on a tight deadline to return back to Piltover before he will be forced to marry Salo. Along the way, Viktor takes fate into his own hands.
