    When Jason Todd died on that fateful April day, Bruce was tempted to just... stop. To let the world know he was Batman, and that it'd just lost a hero in Jason Todd.

    And so he did.

    It didn't keep him from mourning the death of his son.

    Or: Bruce quits being Batman in the wake of Jason's death, tells the world who he is, then retires to Montana and slowly finds healing. And when Jason comes back to life six months later, and Talia tells him 'you remain unavenged,' he can't find any evidence to support that, so he goes home.

    Is what Wei Wuxian tells himself whenever Lan Zhan seems to get scary. Whenever Lan Zhan does something he doesn't like, whenever he wants to say 'no' or whenever he starts seeing faults in his husband. Because they love each other.

    Is also what Lan Wangji tells himself when Wei Ying starts to cry. When Wei Ying is in pain and when he looks scared. Why would Wei Ying be scared of him? He knows the answer, but he turns a blind eye. Because they love each other.

    Lan Sizhui knows something is truly wrong when his Wei-qianbei refuses to meet him. Lan Qiren devises a plan to get Wei Wuxian away from this prison, and all plans come crashing when Wei Wuxian refuses help.
