“Well,” Olruggio paused as he ate some of the food, thinking it over. Qifrey might be able to help a little, he might have seen more of Custas than Olruggio had for a start. “Coco asked me to find out how to remove a silverwood seed from someone.”
A thud startled him, and he looked over to see Qifrey had dropped the book and was staring at him with wide, almost horrified eyes.
When Coco comes to him with an unusual request, Olruggio is more than willing to help out. But the more he researches and experiments, the more he can't help but notice about his best friend. When it comes down to it, is there any way to save a Silverwood host?

The context of this fic is that Qifrey, Olly and the girls go to the Eclipse festival together, though it's more focused on Qifrey and his inner emotional conflict. It's quite ambiguous on purpose, since I thought that sort of writing style could capture his inner conflict and the emotional weight of the prose in a nice perspective.
(Has a bit of Orufrey here and there, as well as Qifrey with his qiflings.)*
A cradle with freshly changed sheets. Lavender is drowning my nostrils. My small hand is held in a huge palm, warmth shrouding my entire fragile existence. The world is unfolding before eyes that get to know its intricacies for the first time.
I wish I knew how that felt like.
Small children's faces stare at me with such curious eyes. Wide open, ready to take on the world – brave in accepting whatever life has to offer. Tetia jolts me by one of my arms with her little palms. I don't remember what having my own small palms feels like.

“That’s too bad. A brimmed hat would’ve looked very nice on you, I can tell.” As she lightly tugs at the braces around their wrists. Clicking off both pairs, she turns on her feet and approaches the portal once more.
“But what if we could teach you the ways of healing? Of spells letting you save what was lost?”
An eye glistens in the light beneath the pointed hat. Of dangling ornaments and a tied-up ribbon swinging in tow.
“Unshackled from your self-imposed restraints? Of being granted the freedom and power to use magic to its limits?”
A cloak drapes down fully as the figure lands gracefully on the ground. An arm outstretched to the girl on her knees.
“Wouldn’t you like to be a true witch?”
And Coco couldn’t help but stare at Iguin. At the eye of the world. Time seems to pause, as if making fun of her dilemma. And at this moment, grabbing that hand doesn’t seem so bad.
-Or Iguin appears, Coco comes along with the brimmed hats, and things change.
