Summary
The story is quite simple; Mydei, the mermaid prince of the kingdom of Castrum Kremnos, is courted by a foreign octopus named Phainon.
Mydei has rejected him so many times that he's already surpassed ten thousand rejections, but the octopus still hasn't given up on courting him.
And in a final attempt, Phainon sets out to revive an ancient tradition of the people of Castrum Kremnos: to give a colored pearl to his beloved, and then they will live happily ever after. He embarks on a difficult journey to conquer this legendary colored pearl!
Mydei, on the other side, not understanding the octopus's disappearance, begins to act differently than expected.

Summary
Mydei stares at him quietly for a moment, letting them both steep in Phainon’s faulty claims about something that’s so clearly a pseudoscience, it’s a miracle he can’t figure that out for himself. Although… If Phainon wants to bulk, this means he has to gain weight. Get fatter. Mydei likes when Phainon bulks, because he lets Mydei feed him more and his abs get softer, and now he’s standing in front of Mydei proposing that he does just that.
Mydei clears his throat, “So you’re… bulking?”
Phainon pouts a bit deeper, “I don’t have to use—“
“No, no,” Mydei cuts him off quickly, dropping his hands and shaking his head. “No, you can keep using it. Please keep drinking it, it’s very complimentary that you think my milk tastes good and that you want to use it like this. I’m pleased.”
OR: Mydei is pregnant, and has recently started lactating. It hurts, and all of his attempts to express milk have failed. Of course, his willing husband, Phainon, is more than excited to help with that and more.

“… Play chicken with Phainon.”
Wait, what? Phainon goes very still, eyes wide as saucers, blinking between Hyacine who smiles sweetly at him and his best friend, who doesn't seem fazed by the dare.
“Ready when you are.” Mydei moves to kneel next to him, placing a calloused palm over his own on the couch. His best friend’s fingers trail over a frantically beating pulse point, sending sparks down Phainon’s entire arm.
“I was born ready!”
Phainon regrets saying that less than a minute later.
In which, Phainon loses a game of chicken, demands a rematch, and gains a boyfriend. All in that order.
