Summary
Prince Aegon Targaryen would rather throw himself from the Red Keep than spend another evening being paraded before highborn ladies. Desperate to escape his mother's marriage traps and Otto Hightower's political schemes, he breaks into the Great Sept to drink himself into a daze in the dark.
What he finds instead is Novice Jeyne. A woman entirely unimpressed by royal tantrums, armed with a brass candle rod and a tongue sharp enough to cut through royal pretense. Aegon is deeply offended, utterly fascinated, and completely incapable of staying away.

Summary

Mireya was used to being lonely, but not to being alone. But now her guardian was dead. Prepared to spend her life amongst the forests, moors and meadows of Westeros, wandering a place she loved but longing for a family, she finds herself thrust into a war. Though not what she wants, perhaps a chance for the family she longed for, for a mother that she never knew. She will, of course, have to deal with a world that she doesn't understand and a prince who seems insistent on holding disdain for her.
