Summary
Some people believe birthmarks are wounds from a past life. Phainon thinks there’s some truth to that. Mydei’s birthmarks look almost as if he’d been run through by a blade—sharp and large enough to leave such scars.
But this Mydei is just an ordinary college student who works part-time at the campus library, where Phainon finally found him again.

Hephaestion freezes mid-smile, the words looping in his head.
“…Cheating?”
"Oh. I thought you two were together?"
Hephaestion waves a dismissive hand. “That was over a decade ago. We only lasted a month before we figured out we were better off as bros.”
Hephaestion apparently can’t even be friendly with anyone without someone assuming he’s cheating on Mydei. If that’s the case, what happens when he actually sets his sights on someone? The poor hypothetical person would think they’re competing with Mydei—and most people would back off immediately.
Well. Hephaestion can’t have that, can he?

Mydei groaned and dropped his forehead against Phainon’s shoulder. “You’re the worst.”
Phainon stuck his tongue out even though Mydei couldn't see it. “I’m keeping it, by the way. The ring. And you. Married or not.”
Or, jealousy turns into an accidental marriage.

Summary
“We spent an hour lining up for milk and tea?” says Mydei. “I could’ve made this.”
Immortal's Delight is tasty. The milk is rich and creamy and the tea has a fragrant somewhat floral aftertaste that he’s never experienced in Amphoreus. There are glutinous balls at the bottom of the cup that taste mildly of caramel.
Phainon gets a laugh out of the first five balls Mydei chokes on, until he is forced to explain, “You’re meant to chew on the balls, not swallow them.”
irontomb is defeated, amphoreus is resolved, the chrysos heirs part ways and explore the galaxy. phainon finds himself mourning and falling in love with his best friend.
