Bruce lets himself be guided by Clark’s hands, his head falling back to let the suds be washed out. Clark can’t help the spark of amazement at the pliant surrender, the softness of his throat vulnerable to the open room. “I’ve never seen you so relaxed,” he comments in awe. And it’s true. Even in the safety of the Batcave, even in Wayne Manor, he’s never seen Bruce look so…small.
“Tired,” Bruce mutters dismissively.
Clark knows he must be. It’s been two days since they left the prison where Clark was being kept, and who knows how long he was searching before he finally found him. But Clark’s seen him push on with less sleep and more exertion than this. He won’t complain, though. It’s a privilege to see Bruce like this. To be trusted like this.
