"If I don't make it," Gi-hun's hand was a trembling, blood-covered fist around In-ho's collar (Gi-hun was smiling, and In-ho thought he wanted to throw up and scream), "can I see it just one more time? The sun."
The game is over. Gi-hun won, at the expense of a newborn's life and possibly his own; there is a hole on Gi-hun's chest, a nasty stab wound. And for the first time after his wife's death, In-ho is scared.

In-ho drops the gun, pulls his arm and takes him into a hug. Gi-hun doesn't hug him back, but rests his forehead on his shoulder. "I hate you."
"I know." He runs his fingers through Gi-hun's hair; it really is growing back. "I know."
“I hate you.” His tears dampen In-ho's shirt but he doesn't care. He doesn't dare to let him go.
“Shh… I know.”
The island was destroyed. All that's left are two winners who are learning to deal with the burden of survival.

What if the sedative he used wasn't the one they normally gave to players?

What if In-ho couldn't forget any of it?
And what if those few days changed everything for them?This is meant to be unhinged, so if you’re easily triggered—this probably isn’t for you.
