Ratio’s frown deepened, an embarrassed expression trying to take over his face. But, Ratio managed to keep his composer nonetheless.
“I… tripped.”

Such a lucid feeling, not being fully in control of his body. Ratio was so gentle with him, and that's what was scaring him the most. The good doctor was only a friend, his only friend, he’s never even made advances towards Aventurine before. Yet it felt like free falling. This… dream his mind was fabricating for him, it was engulfing any other rational thought he's had about the other man. A deep part of him knew he craved something about Ratio, but like this? Aventurine knew he wanted to feel softer, he wanted to be held, he wanted to be important.
Aventurine wiggled his legs apart to cage Ratio’s waist in. It was intimate. Knees pressed into his sides, digging into his ribs.

Ratio tried to process everything, Aventurine just pulled the stem off of the cherry like it meant nothing, then it placed it between his teeth. “It’s not that groundbreaking, is it? “But Gambler,” He could feel himself get grey hairs because of him, “You do it all the time. For work.”
Aventurine shrugged, “I don't think I'm missing out much. Like, don't get me wrong. I’ve gotten close a few times but why waste my own time, yaknow?” Right as he finished speaking Aventurine spit the tied cherry stem into his martini glass. “I wouldn't want it becoming a bad habit now, would I.”

“You could,” Ratio cleared his throat, “Put your hands over my shoulders, if you find it difficult to relax.”
“Then do it for me,” Aventurine prompted. An odd request, but Ratio still took the moment to pull back, and reach for Aventurine’s elbows, before sliding down to his forearms, wrists, then his hands, and navigating them over his shoulder blades. He didn’t move with carelessness, every gesture was performed delicately. It was what Aventurine should expect from here on now. Although his eyes were like a hawk’s, watching every move of his, not with curiosity but as if he was waiting for something to happen. Aventurine rubbed his hands over him before digging his nails in the fabric of his shirt once Ratio slid back to touching his skin.
