Summary
Imagine an AU where the boys, Michael, Sam, Star, and the Frogs teamed up and took down Max. Right now, apart from "Betrayal" and any possible follow up to that, they don't have any true chronological order. As I add them here, I may contextualize them a little, on some kind of timeline. We'll see.
My thoughts on the series title, from a post I made on tumblr:
[The title] kind of sounds like romantic reasoning, on Michael's part. Maybe how he feels about David. Why ultimately forgive him?
Because the night. Everything about the night. The beauty and poetry of it. Passion. Lust. Mystery. Even death. And that's what David has to offer. An endless love, wrapped in night.
David has his flaws, and they are legion. But a little more talking and a little less tricking Michael, or even breaking it down, after Michael starts to turn, coming clean... that could have drastically changed their dynamic. In a world where they're not both caught up in the trappings of toxic masculinity, substituting violence for desire.

Unresolved ending. Does he take you back to the cave? Is he satisfied just to tease, and flirt? You decide.
I labelled it mature because of the heavy romanticizing of sharing a smoke. No smut, just flirting, and some very heated glances over reader's body.
