Tim rolled out of bed early to prepare for his day. He often did on new intake days and this one was no different in that regard. He moved through his routine with practiced ease, starting with a grueling six mile run. In the past few months, he had learned to prioritize his time better to account for where mishaps may pop up in his schedule. God forbid something unexpected happen and he couldn't work out later. His arms pumped back and forth, carrying him harder and further. He loved the feeling running gave him, the way he swore he could feel the blood moving through his veins. It was one of his favorite activities.

When he mentions needing a sign that he needed to go for it, he didn’t mean Sanford standing in front of him and asking for help looking at engagement rings. Ten seconds into the conversation he’s already done when the lawyer starts his spiel with “you’ve been married before, right? So you probably have more experience in this than I do.”
Tim attempts to remain cordial. “It’s been a good fifteen years since I proposed. You’re really thinking about proposing to her?” He asks, leaning back in his chair to feign curiosity. In actuality, he was attempting to plan the quickest way to get rid of him as soon as possible. “Why come to me?” He adds on.
