A day ago, he was in usual spots. The Royal one, the second-year tower, the cafeteria, the Magical Tools Research Battler room, the spare room for the student council, the courtyard… then he was back home.
The day was filled with usual activities. Settling little squabbles among his soulmates. Talking to classmates. Smelling the flowers. Cleaning up the Battler room. Theatrically reading manga pages. Eating lots.

Iruma holds many demons dear to him. He’s forged many friendships, made many promises, and set ambitious goals. He loves everyone, and in turn, is beloved.

Summary
The mop of dark hair leaves his vision as Olruggio stands. The witch takes all of one step away before Qifrey feels a steady hand gently squeeze his shoulder, followed by the weight of a cheek against his head. He stiffens. If he could move, he’d curl in on himself like dry bark. Equally, his heart blossoms, threatening to beat out of his chest. He’s sure Olruggio can hear it—almost drowning out his next words, barely above a whisper as they are. Qifrey might have imagined the ghost of breath across his ear when Olruggio speaks. “When you’re ready, come and join me in the kitchen. I’ll get to whipping up a midnight snack for us.” Qifrey certainly imagines the tender kiss placed on his temple before Olruggio shifts and turns out of the room, leaving Qifrey weightless and holding his breath.
‘Oh.’
