“…Jesus christ,” Buck mutters faintly, but Eddie barely hears him through the blood that’s pounding in his ears. Buck missed him, so he fucked his ex. What the fuck does that even mean?
Or, nobody hates Tommy Kinard more than Eddie.

Summary
Eddie gets the feeling of being on the precipice of something, but he still, still, doesn’t know what. He feels like he can feel the rest of his life in Buck’s gentle fingers on his wrists but knows that, if pressed, he still wouldn’t be able to describe why.
“Why shouldn’t I be with him, Eddie?” Buck asks, and he says it like there’s a right answer, like there’s something that Eddie could say that would crack this whole thing right open.
Eddie has never been great at tests.
“I… I don’t know,” he says finally, honestly.
“I just shouldn’t,” Buck finishes for him, and Eddie can tell that he chose the wrong answer, despite not even knowing what the choices were.

Chris leaves and Eddie doesn't know what to do with himself. Buck is there, because of course he is. Also Eddie thinks that it might be his fault that Buck and Tommy broke up, but he can't figure out why. Things spiral from there.Series
