Naim felt his blood ran cold. There were two ways he could view this. That Ryan could have managed to run off successfully or that thing had gotten him and his corpse was now lying in an overgrown field somewhere far from Naim. He felt sick. He was going to be sick.
'I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.' Played over and over like a broken mantra in his head with nobody to hear it but him and the blood of the lives he stole that now coated his hands.
Or, what if Naim never got chased by the entity that night, completely erasing the events that led up to him and Ryan finding each other at the bus stop.
