jeongguk didn’t lose an eye, probably because the healers were able to salvage it with magic. but they clearly couldn’t do anything about the rest of the wound—there are two massive, jagged scars running from just over the top of jeongguk’s left eyebrow to nearly his jaw, one going right through his eye and the other curving around his cheek. they’re claw marks, something only a beast could have left. they mar jeongguk’s face—his tiny, tiny face. it looks like something straight out of a horror movie.
but—yoongi knows. he knows, even at the age of seven, that making jeongguk feel like something out of a horror movie is the worst thing he can do.
so yoongi says, “man. why do you get the wicked scar?”

Summary
Sometimes, Jeongguk gets so lonely he doesn't even feel alone anymore. He's practicing, and he's very good at it. Loneliness. Being alone. It's blustery cold, and the leaves are falling from the branches of trembling trees, and Jeongguk is alone in a big city, shivering without a jacket, trying desperately to keep himself warm.
There is no one, and then there is someone. Two someones. The lovely winter boys from Daegu, Taehyung and Yoongi, opposites and equals, so loving and in love.
It would be ridiculous, really, if Jeongguk didn't fall for them, too.

“Funny, because my astronomy professor mentioned this a few lectures ago. She told me that the universe is finite. It’s still young and growing. There hasn’t been enough stars or galaxies created to fill up the entire sky yet. But that means that out there, a universe with a filled night sky exists-- maybe a sky that looks like a sparkling gem, flooded to the brim with stars, or maybe darkness is brightness in another older universe. It’s probably impossible but I hope that I get to live to see the day this night sky, right here with all the stars out in the open, will be able to be seen in the city too.”
