When a confrontation with a powerful magic user goes awry, Damian is cursed, robbing him of his voice. Or, communicate without a fresh bruise appearing, that is.
What begins as an inconvenience quickly spirals into something far worse, as he finds himself struggling with the mounting realization: no one has noticed. As his silence deepens, so do the rifts with his family. He’s not helped by the many more sinister theories the people around him assume because of his new temperament.
One thing is certain: he really, really hates magic.

Summary
Strangely enough, escaping a crashed plane was something Tails could do blindfolded; his marker had run dry after the umpteenth tally he set.
But when an outing to Empire City goes awry, Tails finds every playable card swept away. Waking up concussed with his head still in the clouds, he must rely on Sonic to pull him from the burning wreckage. But just when Tails thinks everything is over, that his head and broken leg are the only injuries sustained, a gut-wrenching dose of reality gets administered, and he asks just a pinch too much.
Or: Tails crashes the Tornado with Sonic in it.

The nightly transformations were certainly taking some getting used to, but Sonic persevered with his ever-present determination and relentless optimism as he focused on stitching their broken world back together. Of course, it wouldn't be quite so easy without the support from his friends. His world couldn't be entirely broken as long as he had them by his side. Likewise, Tails is adjusting to using more of his tech in the field, still trying his best to keep up with Sonic, and keep him safe as the dark energy Eggman unlocked threatens all they hold dear.
