Many come to chase glory, power, and, on the occasion, for deepest desires that are impossible in their reality. The starved and parched come to sate their desires; those who have never desire do not seek me, and they are not sought.
However, death deprives this Lightbearer of something most dear: a loved one. Ah, such damning misfortune for ones of such immortality. What a desperate, delectable desire to have.
Tell me, would you trade everything you could possibly wish - solace, safety, serenity - just to be with the one you love? Would you give that chance up to save yourself when you realize all you abandoned?

Summary
The only language humanity speaks is violence.
At least, that is what Ramattra wholeheartedly believes, and Imre still holds out hope that his belief could be proven wrong. When her words do not reach him, the only thing she can do is show him that there is another way. There had to be one; the silence was going to be their end otherwise.
But would her efforts mean anything? She was a singer, not a politician.

Summary
A collection of short stories as Misraaks lives his new life in the Last City after the events in the Season of the Splicer. In his time building peace between House Light and the Last City, he comes to learn more about humanity and of his new friends. However, while the Darkness in the Last City is gone, the Darkness within him remains.
I have an OC that's in a relationship with Misraaks who has a story, but these short stories are standalone.
I should have probably prefaced that Young Wolf is a separate character from the OC. I do apologize if that was deceptive. I wasn't thinking about it.

Even in her final moments with Neuvilette, he reminds her of the life she wished she had. Sadly, such solace is lost on the sinner... But Focalors appreciates it all the same.

Summary
Anowa Dima-Vyze is a woman of many secrets. Because of this, she is very suspicious of Cad Bane upon first meeting him but thinks that he is not a threat as long as she does not tell him anything. As time goes on, he ends up gaining her trust and she believes that she might have a friend.
One day, she finds an orphan in an alleyway on her way home from work. Without any parents, Anowa decides to adopt the child as her own and becomes a single mother. It isn't long before she learns that her child is force-sensitive, which she knows she will be able to keep. However, Anowa isn't the only one who has a secret; Cad Bane is a man shrouded in secrecy himself. Sometimes, a secret can't be a secret forever and, sometimes, secrets eventually reveal themselves.

“Happy birthday, Ramattra.”
Ramattra let out a quiet hum in response, still deep in meditation. When your words finally processed, he lifted his head, HUD reactivating as he turned to look at you. Your silhouette was a blur as his vision refocused, slowly revealing the shape of your face. Though your expression still eluded him, he knew from your voice that you were smiling.
“What?”
You tapped the glass surface of your watch, angling it toward him as it lit up. He leaned closer, able to make out the bold letters that flickered on the screen.
“March, the twenty-ninth. Today is your birthday.”
His… birthday. Right.
You remind Ramattra what day it is. He ponders the concept.
