Subaru held up a hand without looking away from her, and Shaula obeyed instantly, freezing mid-lunge like a dog called off a scent.
Subaru:「Not yet. I need to know what she knows first.」
He leaned in, and the smell of wet earth and dead roses rolled off him in a wave.
Subaru:「Tell me. What did Natsuki Subaru mean to you? How much of him do you remember?」
Satella studied him in silence for a long moment—the ashen hair, the one ruined eye, the twitching hands stained a color she didn't want to name.
Silver. White, gray—from what, stress? And his eye—what happened to his eye? Why is Shaula out here, outside the tower, at all? The questions piled up faster than she could sort them.
Satella:「You don't remember me?」
She let out a breath, heavy, almost exasperated in the way only someone deeply worried allows themselves to sound.
Natsuki Subaru doesn't act like this. He doesn't murder people and then ask them his own name afterward.
Satella:「My name is Satella. You truly don't remember it?」
Or: Satella accidentally arrives in the dark, ruined wreckage of the Gluttony IF route, finding a broken boy desperately trying to piece his identity back together.
