Clary felt nauseous to even think of that, so nauseous she had to stop brushing her hair to run to the toilet. To throw up.
Lately everything she ate made her vomit.
I haven't even eaten anything yet; she thought as she furiously brushed her teeth.
Maybe she was making herself actually sick by thinking about it, because she rarely ever got sick. The angel blood. Yet now…
Clary spat on the sink and froze.
Blood. What day is it?
No. No. No. Nonononononononono.
There was a calendar in her room, but that date had to be wrong because there was no way she was two weeks late. She couldn't be. It was impossible.
But it was happening.

Harry couldn’t say when it began—perhaps on day one, when Voldemort’s horcrux staked its claim within him many Halloweens ago, or when the horcrux was at last ripped away from him, or when Harry begged for it back. He supposed a decent place to trace his steps from would have to be the moment he decided to spare him.
Once more, Voldemort was defeated by Harry. Once more, Voldemort was defeated but not dead. Shackled in the deepest cell in Azkaban Prison, where seawater rippled through the cell and the lingering scent of salt clung to Harry’s skin for days afterward. Voldemort’s defeat had left only a bitter taste of suffering in Harry’s mouth, but Tom’s defeat tasted only of saltwater—the sweetest of suffering.

Summary
Through a random series of events, Harry comes into possession of Tom Riddle's diary before Ginny discovers that she has obtained it, and begins writing down his thoughts and feelings. Sixteen-year-old Tom, trapped in the diary for fifty years without knowing how much time has passed, thinks it's the perfect opportunity to possess the unsuspecting boy and conclude his mission to rid Hogwarts of Muggle-borns, but something in Harry Potter hits more deeply than he would have expected. Their two souls seem to call to each other, as if they were connected.
In short, basically the diary Tom becomes Harry's confidant (and then his friend, and then... you know) and I'm rewriting every year except the first.
