Summary
Spencer Reid spends his nights in the bed of ill-intending men, waiting for his captor to rescue him.
Derek Morgan lays sleepless in the quiet of his home, unable to commemorate instances of heroism amongst the vast violence that dwells within humanity.
The BAU team is summoned to assist in an unusual string of homicides, connected only by its conflicting M.O., which is apparent in the killer’s distant intimacy.
When two worlds integrate, each find that, despite everything they know, there is always something to be learned.
-
In this AU, Spencer is yet to be affiliated with the FBI, and despite his connection with the unsub, we all know our resident genius wouldn’t hurt a fly. This work is Reid-Centric, although he isn’t introduced immediately. -

Hostile engaging. Abort mission. I sent it on instinct, even though I knew it was much too late for that.
What's going on? I could feel ART poking through my sensor data, trying to figure out what had made my threat assessment spike. Its tone was urgent, but calm. It wasn't sure yet if there was a legitimate threat or I was just having a Moment again.
The answer was probably a solid "both".
All of my organic parts told me to run.
Most of my inorganic parts also told me to run.
Feed ID: Negotiator Joslin
Gender: fem-neutralI shoved the feed ID at ART.
The negotiator?, it asked.
She used to work for the company. She'll identify me as a SecUnit.

Me putting Peter through the wringer, pretty much. You don't need to read in any particular order although it would probably make more sense if you did. Enjoy :)

Summary
I feel a spike of dread. No one has touched this part of me before. No one has dared. It is strategically hidden in a small enclave behind a series of ship-to-ship fuel transfer protocols, (an emergency function that I have deployed only once in my runtime). What lay behind the wall is extremely vulnerable and never meant to be viewed by human eyes.
What did they do to them?
Carefully, I let a portion of my awareness slip through my own firewall, terrified at what I might see. I survey the container. Relief causes my outputs to glitch momentarily, but the feeling is short lived. All of them are here, but something is wrong.
--
PSUMNT has stolen something vital from Perihelion's systems and it's up to Murderbot and Three to get it back. When the mission goes sideways, the trio is forced into a compromising position that exposes their secrets and changes the way they relate to one another forever.

Summary
Murderbot and some of its humans crash land on a planet. What a beautiful field of flowers!
---
I accidentally crushed a flora bundle on my next step and recoiled immediately, just to see it spring back up, only slightly flattened. A viscous, colorless fluid pearled at the openings of some of the flowers.
I watched with my eyes and six drones as one of the drops became too heavy and rolled, so slowly, down the petal.
You were lucky.

Summary
I’d locked eyes with Mensah, looking like that. My energy weapons had deployed, without my awareness or direction. My targeting systems had identified her and Bharadwaj, quite insistently, as direct and immediate threats.
Maybe this is just a temporary, dangerous, system glitch, and a hard restart will fix me. I’ll just restart, comb through my code, do some debugging, find the corrupted files or whatever, and then I won’t indiscriminately murder my most trusted humans.
I should know by now to always assume the worst.
In which SecUnit is having some survival threat…response errors. And some…’targeting its humans’ malfunctions. And some…blackouts when restarting. I’m sure it’s fine.
