"Hey, Dr. Robby?" He asked, and Robby looked down at him with a raised brow. "Was Dr. Abbot okay? He seemed off this morning."
Robby glanced around before grabbing Dennis by the elbow and guiding him to a side hall, away from curious ears.
"Is he upset with me?" Dennis couldn't help but ask, fear rising in his stomach. He had forgotten to run the dishwasher last night, but he didn't think-
"No, Den, he's not upset with you," Robby shook his head. "Today is just a bad day for Jack."
"What happened on night shift that was so bad?" It was a bit of a relief that he wasn't upset with Dennis, but Shen hadn't told them of any manor night shift incidents. Just the regular first-time moms bringing in their babies with high fevers, drunken incidents, and guys who 'fell' on things and got them stuck in-
"It wasn't anything on shift, I mean today is a bad anniversary for Jack," Robby sighed, putting a hand on Dennis's shoulder.
"Oh," Dennis furrowed his brows, but nodded in understanding.
"Just try to be nice to him today, okay?"
"Okay," Dennis nodded, and Robby squeezed his shoulder for a moment before letting him go and turning to get back to work.

Summary
"Handoffs done, we can head out." Robby said softly, Dennis moving to stand sluggishly. Robby took stock of the look on his partners face.
Dennis looked worn down, tired, the usual sparkle in his eye completely extinguished. His shoulders slumped like a puppet with its strings cut. They would survive to see another day, knowing they would need to be prepared for the next. They had to go home, patch themselves up and come back in again ready for whatever the city of Pittsburgh would throw at them.
Robby placed a brief kiss on his forehead and they walked together to the car to head back home.

After getting stabbed, Andrew gets brought into PTMC. There he meets a doctor who treats him kindly and miraculously finds his brother for him. And in the light of a new life, he wishes to help him, to take example from him. And Dennis finds fondness to be a much too gentle a word, and that is quite terrifying.
How to keep a job ? How to let go? How to get closer? Who knows.Or
Andrew decides to change his life. To run to the one city he knows his half brother did. And somehow that ends him in a hospital. Where he (obliviously) takes interest in the doctor treating him. And i guess he meets his brother again, whoopdidoo.
Or
Backstab, hospital and thinking longingly of your doctor.
