Summary
Jefferson Davis can’t lie to himself, as much as he tries. He and Miles have always butted heads-- his son just has this carefree, unfettered approach to life that Davis' strict, no-nonsense methods seemingly have no place in. A large part of him loves Miles for that, truly, even though sometimes Jefferson feels as if he's just slowing him down.
But now, with Miles away at school on weeknights-- seemingly always busy with something or another-- Jefferson has never felt that gaping space between himself and his son yawn wider.Enter the new Spider-Man. A free-spirited kid, five foot nothing and standing between the whole city and danger as if it’s his job, breaking a long series of minor laws with careless ease, and giving a certain cop heart palpitations on a regular basis.
Jefferson Davis can’t lie to himself anymore. No matter how much he hates vigilantes-- especially of the masked variety-- a child is a child. And a dad is a dad.

"What kind of rumours?" He didn't dare take a step forward, yet the question just slipped through with no hesitation. Alaira turned around and giggled under her breath, most probably at the sight of an incoming blush painting his features.
She poorly covered her growing grin, "Ah, you know—Run of the mill." Glaring at her, she gave in and braced for any possible impact, be it verbal or even magical, "Some would say—or so I heard—that you guys are going out together at night to make up for lack of privacy in the Halls."
"Make up for lack of—We're not together!"

Summary
Familiar guilt gnaws at him, and he cannot help but be grateful for it, allowing himself just a second longer to wallow. Perhaps if he makes himself miserable enough before he must rise for the day he won't have to worry as much later, letting the pit in his stomach settle uncomfortably and do much of the heavy lifting for keeping a certain Silverwood at bay.

It had been a passing remark, all things considered. If Coco had anywhere else to direct her attention at the time, she would've forgotten about it well before dinnertime; but she didn't—she couldn't—because, well...

It was frankly impossible to ignore that.
Coco overhears from Olruggio that he'd rather see Qifrey in a noblewoman's attire, so she makes him a dress... and gets Qifrey to put it on to surprise Olruggio.
