Geralt of Rivia has spent a strange amount of time feverishly obsessing over the way Jaskier can just casually touch him, like it's nothing, like he's not an aberration capable of breaking Jaskier in half with a sneeze. Jaskier saw Geralt slice through monsters like pudding, covered in guts and grime and his own sweat and blood, but there he was, leaning against him and tuning his lute.

Summary
Cas makes it to the bunker, but as the weeks pass it becomes apparent that he isn't dealing as well with being human as the brothers would like. Sam decides they should take Cas for a day out on the town, exploring humanity from a more touristy angle to show him that biology isn't all that bad. Meanwhile Charlie does everything in her power to play matchmaker, and Dean isn't as oblivious as she thinks. (Season 9 AU where Sam is healed without possession and Cas is hurt but not killed by April.)

When the angels fall, Cas lands in Cajamarca, Peru. But as he makes his way north, he calls when he can.
Dean’s life moves from phone call to phone call. The hours, the days between are hazy streaks, like a blurred landscape through a rainy car window. Cas calls from a homeless shelter in Cajamarca, but for only a few minutes, and then again thirty miles south of the Ecuador border. They talk logistics, mostly, and skirt around more important things. Cas details his travels. Dean is sitting in a white hospital room, day after day, staring at his comatose brother, and meanwhile Cas is hitchhiking his way through South America.Bookmarked by Waltzing
