Well that’s not fair. This was a dubiously convoluted situation that no normal person casually thought about being in, not with their superior officer no less. Leon knew this was wrong, power-play and all, but at the same time a part of him didn’t want to disappoint whatever perceived reputation Wesker somehow had of him. He was still relatively new, after all. And, well, this was a dangerous man, and Leon loved to throw himself at perilous situations.
“I… I’ve got an open schedule,” he answered between pursed lips.
Wesker exhaled through his nose. “Now come here.”

Now, two years into the life he cobbled together from the broken pieces Hannibal left him in - house, dogs, wife, family - he finds himself haunted by the ghost of a man who looks too much like the reason he still can't sleep through the night. Duncan's friendly, Molly says. Quiet, a little strange, but harmless.
Will isn't so sure about that. She doesn't see the resemblance, but she didn't know Hannibal. Will does a decent job keeping his distance until one day, Duncan Vizla comes home with a dog.

The body lay displayed, almost reverently, in the center of a loft apartment in downtown Los Angeles. Limbs were arranged in a grotesque symmetry, ribs carved open like the petals of a flower. A smell of iron and lavender clung to the air.
Nolan swallowed hard. “Yeah,” he muttered to Lucy beside him. “I’m pretty sure this isn’t a mugging gone wrong.”
Detective Tim Bradford’s jaw tightened. “No. This is something else.”
