Summary
The long and often bumpy road to Steve and Eddie building their family, up through their first planned pregnancy.
Steve’s second pregnancy scare comes two months after he and Eddie start having sex. They’ve been careful, following all of his precautions, but Steve is so used to his cycle being regular, the clockwork of control meaning he is never late. And then he is. By two days.
He is sixteen and terrified. He isn’t ready to be a mom, but he already knows that when he is ready, he wants it to be with Eddie. At least he can be happy that it’s Eddie this time, someone he’s talked with about their future. Someone who says, “Love you,” to Steve all the time, so natural and easy and earnest. Someone who wants Steve for himself and nothing more.

Summary
Even in the middle of the joke, Steve noticed how his children’s gazes returned to Eddie like magnetized needles pointing north.
They adored him. They revered him. To them, Eddie Munson wasn’t simply their father; he was a mythical hero, a legendary being who had come down to earth to play guitar, cook pancakes, and tell stories. Steve saw it in the way the twins mimicked Eddie’s gestures when they talked, in how Lily had asked Steve to cut her bangs exactly like her father’s, in how Ben already tried to stick out his tongue rocker-style the moment he saw a camera.
And Eddie, his beautiful, chaotic, tender Eddie, absorbed that love with a gratitude so deep it sometimes seemed to spill right out of him, like an overfull glass.

Summary
Seeing the words laid out like that so bluntly makes his heart ache. Eddie wishes he could have courted Steve properly, perhaps met him at a barn dance, chatting over cider and sneaking outside for a stolen kiss. To hold his hand and scent at his hair, only to walk him home and ask permission to call on him as is decent.
But here he is proposing marriage in a telegram after receiving exactly one beautifully penned letter. He knows so little about this young omega, and yet his pulse races at the thought of meeting him. It could very well be fear; anxiety over making so hasty a decision, to offer his hand so quickly without exchanging more letters or requesting a photograph, something to build a foundation upon before committing ‘til death do they part.
❧❧❧
Steve Harrington is a former society omega, cast out for an unforgivable indiscretion.
Eddie Munson has just inherited his father’s small farm and become caretaker to his much younger brother.
An advertisement and a letter bring them together, a clear attraction forms when they meet. But will that be enough to build a life upon?

Summary
Steve’s mind is racing. Would it be possible to solve Eddie’s problem, and by extension, his own problem, without a lick of jail time for either of them?
It’s genius, he thinks. Even Dustin would be proud of him.

Summary
“So are we doing this then?”
Eddie narrows his eyes.
Okay. Fine. Skipping foreplay, sure.
“Doing what, Harrington?”
Irritation flickers across Steve’s features as he steps forward again, still breathing hard and unevenly. Still red in the face.
“You’re really going to make me say it?” he whispers. “You want me to ask?”
“No,” Eddie grins, reaching up to tug at the red ascot tied around his stupid little sailor shirt. He leans in closer, hooking a finger into the waistband of his stupid little sailor shorts. His lips brush the shell of Steve’s ear as he speaks, voice pitched soft and low.
“You’re not going to ask. You’re going to beg.”—
Eddie spends his summer learning things about himself – such as the fact that the only thing he enjoys about his dreary summer job at the mall comes in the form of one Steve Harrington: fallen from grace, suited up in a borderline indecent uniform, easy to torment, and wound tighter than a drum.
Steve spends his summer learning things about himself as a result of Eddie’s habitual tormenting.Bookmarked by WONDERTERROR
