In a world where gods are real, a young nymph named Maomao wanted as close to nothing to do with them as possible.
So far, she was doing great… until her life was suddenly flipped on it’s head overnight (quite literally) when Maomao found herself face to face with the fearsome and mysterious king of the underworld himself, proposing a unique arrangement that dragged her down the rabbit hole the moment she spoke.
But as Maomao starts growing more comfortable than expected in her new role, she starts discovering some uncomfortable, unexpected feelings about sharing more in common with the infamously enigmatic god than she expected.
The longer she stays in the underworld, the more insistently truths and realities starts bubbling to the surface. Ones that Maomao had tried to keep buried with the dead.
