Summary
If it wasn't for that night none if this would've happened. Don't get Bruce wrong, he's happy, now at least but... Bruce thought his life couldn't get thrown for more of a loop, but he was wrong. His children, well, now both of them were his, but he's getting ahead of himself. Jason and Tim had found her. And now less than 5 years later Bruce was surrounded by his 5 kids. It took a lot of pain and heartbreak but they were all here and all in one piece. And Bruce would go through all that pain again if it meant his children were safe and sound.

They had never meant for them to mean so much, if they'd known... maybe they wouldn't've used them or maybe watching their own back had become so routine that others had stop mattering? No, if that was true, they wouldn't be sitting here and sobbing in this dirty alley so close and yet so far from the team that had taken them in, had become their family and more. It hurt so much remembering their faces full of disbelief and raw pain. The betrayal had hurt the others, that much was obvious, but they hadn't realized how much it would hurt their own heart. Maybe it was time to do the right thing for once in their life. Damn the consequences. Stop looking out for themselves and look out for those who had come to mean so much to them.

I was just thinking, the SBPD must have missed a ton of things before Shawn started working with them. So many murders dismissed as accidents, cold cases waiting to be solved, ect.
So, during a bout of ADHD insomnia, Shawn heads to the police station in the middle of the night to take a solo look at the records room. He wasn't expecting, however, for Lassie to find him. Maybe he won't be flying solo after all.

“Spencer, you think I want to pretend to be married to you? Because I don’t.” Carlton scoffed, and Spencer’s eyes instantly widened.
Oh. He’d meant to approach the issue much more tactfully. Ease into it. Maybe butter Spencer up a little bit. But nope, he’d just blurted it out. The silence hung in the air for a moment as Carlton wiped his still-sweaty palms on his pants again, feeling incredibly awkward.
“We’re gonna be married?” Spencer’s eyes were still wide, and he bit the inside of his cheek in contemplation for a moment.
