Summary
It is the natural law of the world that each person has at least one soulmate. The amount of bonds tied to the soul can be easily determined with how many unique symbols there are in the soulmark everyone was born with.
Just as the sun always rises every morning and the stars twinkle every night, every pair—or group—of soulmates would always have a Dreamer. For even with the unique soulmarks that would hopefully allow soulmates to recognize each other, the vastness of the planet still makes it difficult for them to find one another.
Legends say that it was Gaia’s pity, for she could not bear the thought of soulmates never finding each other. Hence, blessing each bond with a Dreamer who would be able to unite their fated souls together. After awakening in their coming of age, a Dreamer would be able to connect everyone who shares their soul bond through a shared dreamscape. It was because of this blessing, many were able to find their fated ones during their lifetime.

Genesis, Angeal, Sephiroth, and Zack were considered lucky soulmates who have found each other way before shared dreams. But that luck backfires when they could only meet their last soulmate in a space beyond sleep and reality.

Soleum averts his—temporarily her—gaze, long eyelashes fluttering. She shifts on the spot, just shy of uncomfortable.
“This isn’t too bad, is it?”
One of the arms hanging loosely by her side moves to wrap around her middle, inevitably pushing up her chest even further, and Choi wants to grab Soleum by the shoulders and scream no, this is absolutely worse. He hardly has a preference for what kind of chest he likes to touch, but if they’re big enough to rip apart buttons and shirts and even put the material Choi’s own jacket to test, it’s very, very hard not to gawk like a horny teenager who barely made it out of puberty.

In that instant, a wave of dizziness overwhelmed me.
And when I woke up...
"...!!!"
I had the same convenience store uniform the balloon monsters did. I had the LookyMart uniform on. The nametag I had gotten from the roulette was pinned innocently on the left strap of my bright yellow employee apron.
I was... a LookyMart employee.
