John has noticed a change in Dresden since Victor Sells was stopped. He seems colder to those he calls his allies. And strangely less prone to setting things immediately on fire that annoy him. John doesn't know what brought about this change but he was suspicious of it.
Another death. A new life. It seemed his latest idea to stop the cycle had failed. Fuck whatever deity decided this was his punishment. Hells Bells he was so tired and done. His magic ran from his control and it was only getting worse. If he couldn't find a way to control it soon he might be the nuclear bomb equivalent to his city.
Why couldn't he die and stay dead for once? What had he done to deserve this hell?

Summary
Hundreds of years ago, Spirits formed contracts with powerful humans. This allowed them to spend time outside of the NeverNever without using their life force. Over time they are forgotten and contracts are no longer formed regularly.
Harry Dresden was once one of the spirits, a wolf in particular. He'd been contracted against his will to Justin DeMorne only to kill him. Despite having a good reason for doing so, he is banished from returning to the place that could restore his life force. 10 years after this he accidentally binds himself to John Marcone through the Soul Gaze. He knows what is happening but decides not to tell John about it. He just watches from the shadows interfering only if necessary. Until Nicodemus attacks John as Harry is on the last legs of his life force.

Timelines are... whatever I want them to be cause there’s already time travel sooooo. But the time travel happened a year after Luke took Grogu for Jedi Lessons and Din started visiting/taking jobs for Luke as a joint excuse to see the womp rat and get away from Mand’alor duties. Which he took on. Grudgingly. There may be a short thing on that later.
