i really wanted to see changeling jim in rott (by that i mean normal jim we know and love but he can switch willingly between half-troll and human forms) and that didn't happen so i did this
also???? fixing the ending because i love toby and that was painful, this is kind of the ideal ending in my eyes if most of the canon plot is included
hopefully i did the characters justice (jlaire) with the way i wrote this; toby and jim deserve to be written like the teenage boys they are
summary of sorts: a rewrite of rott's ending and a bit of post canon exploring the dynamic(s) between jim, claire, and toby + jim's identity. what if jim's new amulet did more than just protect him in the final battle?
