Then, quietly, he said, “Maybe if you stopped pretending to be someone you’re not, people would actually stick around.”
The words hit like a punch to the gut. They both knew exactly what he meant. And Alex—no matter how hard he tried, no matter how deep he buried it—couldn’t pretend otherwise.
A shaky breath escaped him. His fists clenched so tightly his knuckles went white.

The winter season was fairly busy for Raj, especially since his hockey team is one of the best in northern Alberta. Bowie was quite busy too with basketball and theatre rehearsals. This leaves them both exhausted by the time they see each other.
Little things begin to be forgotten, and Raj, as the stressors in his life build up, is worried it means Bowie’s losing feelings.

Bruce knocked his fist against the wooden door, his cowl casting a dramatic shadow across the front step. Behind him, all in various stages of injury, stood the entire Justice League, watching the small cabin with curious glances. An awkward silence surrounded them, until Hal finally spoke up, his voice more than slightly nervous. “Are you sure about this, Batman?” To his everlasting credit, Bruce only hesitated for a second before grunting back a “Yes. These are allies.” The door swung open, revealing an older-looking teen with guns strapped to his thighs. The league froze. This, whatever this was, was not what they had expected when Batman himself led them to a safe-house in the middle of nowhere. The teen sighed, glaring at them.
