Summary
When I played Falllout 4, there were two pretty big things that bummed me out, and I wished they would've explored more; A romance with Nick Valentine, and a deeper and longer delve into the "what if Kellogg was still inside Nick somewhere?"
I was seriously disappointed when they dropped that moment, the one just after the quest with doctor Amari, right before you and Nick leave the Memory Den, and then never took it ANYWHERE :(
Well..I got so frustrated that I wrote about it, so here it is, my slightly self indulgent reader insert fallout fanfic that I try waaaayyy too hard to keep accurate to the game itself. Enjoy! Or don't?
Nick Valentine and Reader are end game in this fic, but Reader will have a few flings and a slight tension with other characters as well! If all goes to plan, this will be entirely too long.

“I am way out of my depth” Kelsi murmured apprehensively, staring into the bathroom mirror.
Writing love ballads was easy for Twinkle Towne. All she had to do was rent only crappy rom-coms non-stop for a week from blockbuster and then all of the sweet sentiments wrote themselves. The lyrics had only been romantic tropes snatched straight from the screen, coated in a small dose of her own fantasies. Maybe falling for a someone who’s heart would complete a duet with her own. But now her heart wanted to sing and it had set itself on one person in particular. One girl. One girl that was so never going to pick up the harmony with the ease that those musicals had suggested, and that’s if she ever even thought of liking her back. Why did it have to be the person who would be singing the harmonies on these songs. These songs that Kelsi wrote with her own feelings on the line, not just the feelings of Hugh Grant in Love Actually. And she felt all of them, all at once, and all for..... You’re starting to think the vampires are just plain pathetic. What’s tipping the scale from ‘predator’ to ‘pitiful’ this time is what Kanato has ordered you to do— accompany him to some random cafe with a seasonal, all-you-can-eat special, just so he can get his fill of sweets for free.
As stupid as the idea sounds, it’s not like arguing would end well for you, so you roll your eyes and agree to meet up when he tells you to.

Based on that one 4koma where Kanato crossdresses to get into a cafe event— but this time, he takes Reader with him. Or rather, he tries to. It ends a little differently than expected. ;3c
