But she was so curious, her gears halting and then erratically speeding up in a pattern she didn’t recognize. She needed to ask, if only to ebb this uneasy and vulnerable feeling away. “...Do you also stay in her room like you do with mine?”
Columbina stopped eating, surprised by the question. She had no idea about the suffocating feeling in Sandrone's chest that accompanied her as she waited for her answer in a bated breath. “No,” she eventually replied. “I only stay in your room, I feel most comfortable here with you.”
Sandrone was a clockwork doll, and Columbina was a moon goddess. Both were living solitary lives before they met, both unable to experience emotions the way ordinary humans could. Yet, somehow, their paths converged and the foundations of everything Sandrone thought she knew crumbled to the ground.

Artoria felt a smile tug at her lips. Here in Chaldea, there was no need for her to wake early unless it was her day to Rayshift, but many habits from Camelot had yet to be broken, including waking up early. Artoria didn’t mind, it gave her the chance to admire the woman in her arms. In the dim light, Irisviel’s hair glittered as it lay across the pillow. A small smile graced her features. Her lashes cast shadows on her cheeks.
Artoria pressed her lips against Irisviel’s forehead. The Caster murmured and tried to shift closer. With a huff, quiet as to not wake the woman in her arms, Artoria buried her face in Irisviel’s hair. Today would be a good day, she could already tell.

“Did Armin like it?” The question, so unlike Mikasa but reflecting her straightforwardness, caught Annie off guard, and her ears turned warm, something like rare embarrassment in her otherwise numb body spreading.
“What?”
The rag returned, warm again, lowering towards the end of Annie’s aching spine. As if almost soothing her. Annie shivered.
“I…didn’t expect someone like you wanting to know,” Annie then admitted, drifting off, having been forced into a corner, and she exhaled, subconsciously relaxing when the cloth wandered back up between her shoulder blades again.
“What doesn’t make me qualified to want to know?” retorted the cool voice, and Annie visibly dropped her shoulders, somehow more comfortable with Mikasa’s usual stoicism and low tone. She recalled, dryly, the obvious affection Mikasa had for Eren, especially the surge of possessiveness over him when Annie had attempted to take Eren away.

Mikasa looked down at her, observing her with narrowed eyes now. Upon closer examination, Annie’s ears seemed flushed, but her ice-blue eyes appeared sure and steady, the flicker of fire in them caused by the fireplace next to them.
Her chest burned, and she realized, all of a sudden, Annie was affected by Mikasa’s state as much as she was. This knowledge was somehow having Mikasa regain control of herself, despite her front teeth prodding at her bottom lip.
Mikasa attempted to concentrate, her head lowering, and her back curving. One arm reached out, hesitating at first, before she willed herself to move slowly, wrapping it around Annie’s slim waist. One glance out of the dark window, and Mikasa could dazedly decipher the snowflakes falling gentler now. Mikasa took a breath in, attempting to keep herself reigned in.
Her arm pushed, heaving Annie up slightly to position her against Mikasa in a way that didn’t require Mikasa to lean down. It was more efficient that way. She barely noticed the blood rushing to Annie’s pale cheeks now, subtle. Mikasa’s steel eyes flashed, and she exhaled shakily, the natural fresh scent of Annie swirling in the air at close proximity now.

Mikasa knows it’s for crowd interaction, to engage the fans, but it still has her angry. That these strangers are touching her girlfriend. That they’re looking at her like that.
So the next gig they go to, Mikasa is beyond frustrated about this possessive burn inside her. When they are backstage preparing for the concert starting soon, Mikasa taps her foot impatiently as she watches Annie place final touches on her outfit, and the murmur of the crowd is overwhelming.
The crowd that will drool over her girlfriend. Clenching her jaw, Mikasa snaps, standing abruptly and grabbing Annie’s hand, wordlessly dragging her to the nearest room.
