    Ryland Grace was not like a single person Simon had ever met before.
    So there he sat, calm in the bed that belonged to the man he logically should fear. Watching as gentle hands placed the final cards in two, even decks.”

    War is a game in which opponents must lay down cards against each other in rapid succession, attempting to win not only cards played, but the entire deck. There is no strategizing, no planning, you're not even allowed to view your cards; it is entirely luck based. The player requirement is a flat two, and Grace just so happened to have stumbled upon a classic deck. There's only one other man around for light-years, and he definitely intends on playing. A self indulgent fic involving the authors favorite card game.
