Brice has planned for this for years it feels like, carefully saving his funds, spending only what he needed to spend, making sure his old truck was complete working order. He was never really sure where exactly he was going to go, but as he reads the newspaper article for the hundredth time, he finally knows what he's going to do.
Bob knows he needs to make a change, has been floating through the department for years, and even though this is his dream job and he would never want to do anything else, he's been waiting for the moment when a partner makes the department feel truly like home. He just wishes the wait weren't so damn long.
