    As he turned around to face Nightwing, stepping out of his defensive position and taking in the familiar black and blue of his suit, he noticed something.

    It wasn’t big, nothing major to tip him off, just a twitch of the eyes and a scar.

    Tim had spent too long memorizing the many facets of Dick Grayson’s face, the smooth lines and hard angles and unless his memory failed him, Dick didn’t have a small white, faded scar high on the apple of his cheek.

    This wasn’t his Nightwing.

    Jason shrugged.
    "I always wanted to play cupid," he said, like that explained anything. Jason was a good guy with a bleeding heart, but generally he would've gotten offended at the first rejection and left Tim alone. Tim genuinely couldn't puzzle out why he would spend so long trying to convince him.

    But fact was, Tim did want a shot at getting Dick in his nest for his heat. The only problem was that Tim had never intentionally went for anyone he had dated. They all just found his rizzless demeanour endearing enough to give him a chance and he wasn't stupid enough to not take it. Although he could already see that this could only end with his heart getting broken, his interest was piqued and Tim was nothing if not curious.

    He steeled himself for what he was about to say, knowing he was basically signing his soul away.
    "Alright, alpha extraordinaire, what do you want to do?" he asked. Jason's answering grin was so predatory it made Tim shiver.

    Dick was exhausted. He needed to be a full time cop, while also being Batman and the Pack Alpha while Bruce was stuck off-world. And then Alfred benched Tim because of his upcoming heat, so even more work was put on Dick's shoulders. At this point, he just wanted to sleep but he's way too stressed to actually do that.

    To his surprise, Tim actually had a solution for that.

    There is very little that Tim cares about more than Batman and the man under the cowl. For years his entire purpose was supporting Gotham’s Dark Knight. He hadn’t planned to be replaced by Batman’s assassin trained biological son. Or the return of the Robin he’d replaced. But he’d managed to adapt and form his own identity, to continue to protect the people of Gotham.

    Only now he has to adapt to a world where there is no Batman. There is no Gotham.
