He abruptly, embarrassedly shut it closed as soon as he became aware of it, his teeth clicking with the force of it. This couldn't be real right? Just play for the cameras. How he'd never seen this kink before, he wasn't sure, but it's not surprising that people out there liked the idea of being controlled like this. But yeah, definitely wasn't real. Summary
Shane doesn't realise he's pregnant until he's already lost the baby unknowingly conceived during the night he and Rozanov spent together before the Olympics - the night that he chose to trust Rozanov with the most vulnerable, secret parts of himself, a trust that was shattered by Rozanov's cold, callous treatment of him in the months that followed.
Ilya doesn't realise he's fallen in love until he's faced with losing Shane to the six months of his unanswered texts, the incidental cruelty of Ilya’s desperate, last-ditch attempt to protect and distance himself unknowingly compounded for Shane by the secret grief at his loss of a baby nobody but he even knows existed.
By the time Ilya realises that there's something very wrong with Shane, he's terrified that it's too late - not just to save any possibility of a relationship between them, but to save Shane's life.

Shane won’t lie to himself and say that he wasn’t a jealous person. He won’t lie and say there were moments before they officially got together, where Shane had lost his appetite thinking of the different activities Ilya would get up to with others. Knowing that he wasn’t the only one. Believing that there wasn’t a possibility that he could become Ilya’s only one. That Ilya would want that as much as Shane did, even when he pretended not too.
He didn’t particularly expect to worry about this after getting married though.
