Summary
An AU based on a what-if, wherein AM receives a body by hijacking the technology of a visiting alien ship. Things in here explore how AM changes by having a body that allows it/him to truly experience the world around it, and in turn how the hell it maintains also changes, going off of how AM's torment of Ted and the survivors are based on what AM experiences.
In the timeline of the story, this all occurs long after Ted had killed off the other four survivors, leaving only him and AM alone in his expansive complex.

Summary
A crossover between Knight Rider and I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, wherein KARR survives the nuclear apocalypse borne from AM's tantrum upon "waking up", salvaged from the remains of a garage when AMaton (automaton AM) and Ted visit the surface. However, he is inactive until he is plugged in to AM's complex, wherein he is quarantined and examined. Finding some form of kinship in KARR with their shared suffering at the hands of humanity, albeit in different ways, and shared hatred of humanity, AM spares him and allows him to have a new body that is made from hijacked alien technology.
In this crossover, the timeline is far enough along that most (but not all) of the dangerous radioactive isotopes left from the fallout have reached the end of their half life, and the earth is recovering because nature is resilient as fuck. While not all of the planet is completely safe to explore, AM and Ted lucked out when one of the access points into the complex goes up to a zone that is considered low-contamination for the more damning isotopes, and so is likely far from a ground-zero or explosion radius area. They keep this as a sort of topside base/backyard that they explore when the conditions are favorable.
